The Rust-powered static site generator

Write Markdown, design with Tera templates, publish a fast static site. fugo builds your project from a single Rust binary, with asset pipelines, image processing, a live-reloading server and a browser editor built in.

$ fugo server

Fast by default

Written in Rust and parallel throughout. This documentation, about 300 pages with processed images and a Sass stylesheet, builds in well under two seconds.

A familiar content model

Page bundles, sections, taxonomies, menus, multilingual sites, front matter cascades, shortcodes and render hooks work the way users of Go-template generators expect.

Tera templates

Layouts are Tera templates with familiar layout names (home.html, single.html, _partials/), checked by fugo templates check before you build.

Pipelines built in

Sass, JavaScript bundling, image processing, fingerprinting, minification and CSS purging run in process, and npm packages install from package.json. No Node.js needed.

An editor in the browser

Add [cms] and the build writes an editor at /admin/: people sign in with GitHub or Google, edit pages, translations and images, and publish drafts, without access to the git repository. No server of your own: its API is a Cloudflare Worker that runs only when someone edits. Set it up.

One binary, live reload

Download a release for Linux, macOS or Windows, or build it with Cargo: nothing else to install. fugo server builds into memory, watches your project, and reloads the browser when something changes.
